The useful details
What to know.
Use this checklist when a link, preview or saved video does not behave as expected.
The link is not accepted
If the message says to use a Reel or post link, copy the individual post again rather than the profile address. Supported public paths include /reel/, /p/ and /tv/; some Instagram share links also work when they resolve to a supported post.
Instagram asks for a login
A public-looking post can still be restricted, removed or unavailable to the service. Check the post’s public availability. Laqta cannot bypass privacy controls, load Stories or guarantee a restricted post will work later.
A cover appears but there is no video
A still preview can be available even if Instagram does not return a playable video. Save cover is not an MP4. If no Download video action appears, check the original post and try loading it later; there may be no video source to retrieve.
Instagram is temporarily limiting requests
If the page reports that Instagram is limiting requests, wait and try again later rather than repeatedly submitting the link. A permanent restriction or removed post may remain unavailable.
The download link has expired
A preview can outlive its underlying media URL. If a download reports that the file is unavailable or expired, return to the form and load the original public post again to request a fresh result.
The saved MP4 will not play
Check that the browser download finished and that the device has enough free space. Try a player that supports MP4, or load the post again if the download was interrupted. Laqta does not convert or repair the source file.
The video has no sound
Check the player and device volume, then play the saved MP4. A separate M4A button may be absent even when the video has sound; if the returned MP4 itself has no audio track, Laqta cannot add one.
