02

04
Check the download

Open Chrome’s Downloads list or your device’s Files app and play the saved MP4.

The useful details

What to know.

The steps use Chrome as an example; other Android browsers and phone makers may use different menus.

Find the file in Chrome

In Chrome, open the More menu and choose Downloads. If the address bar is at the bottom, Chrome may offer Downloads by swiping up on the bar. Check whether the file finished, is paused or was cancelled.

Google Chrome: download and find files on Android ↗

Find it in Files or My Files

Open your phone’s Files app and look in Downloads. Some manufacturers use a differently named file manager, such as My Files. If the video is absent from Gallery, it may still be saved in the browser’s download folder.

If Chrome reports an interrupted download

Check the connection and available device storage, then retry from a freshly loaded public post. If a media link has expired, keeping the old preview open will not renew it. Instagram can also restrict or remove a post.

If there are several carousel cards

A post can contain photos and videos. Choose a card labelled Video for the MP4; Save cover is only its still image. Each available item is downloaded separately, and the browser may show a multiple-download prompt.

Video sound and optional M4A

Play the saved MP4 with the player and device volume on. The separate Audio · M4A action appears only for a compatible stream. Its absence does not prove that the video is silent, and the tool cannot add missing sound.

Clipboard and site permissions

If the site’s Paste button cannot read your clipboard, press and hold the field and use Android’s Paste command. Review any download permission prompt before allowing a site to download files; no Instagram password is needed.

Public access and permission

Laqta does not support private posts or Stories, and it cannot guarantee that every public file will be returned. Save only what you are permitted to keep and obtain permission before reusing another creator’s content.
