Open the exact Reel
In Instagram, open the public Reel you are allowed to save, rather than the creator’s profile.

Copy its link
Use the Reel’s Share menu and copy its link. Some share links work if they resolve to the individual Reel.

Inspect the preview
Paste the link above, select Get media and check that the returned video is the intended clip.

Save and test
Choose Download video · MP4, open it from your browser Downloads list and play it with the sound on.

What to know.
A Reel may offer a video, a still cover and an optional separate audio file.
Check the downloaded clip, not just the preview
A preview tells you which card you are selecting; it does not confirm that the separate download completed. Open the downloaded MP4 and check that its picture, length and sound are what you expected before closing the result.
If the saved Reel is silent
Check the player’s mute setting and your device volume, then test the saved MP4 again. The absence of a separate M4A button does not mean the MP4 is silent. If the MP4 source has no audio track, the tool cannot add it.
If the wrong Reel appears
Return to Instagram and open the individual Reel before copying its share link again. Compare the preview with the Reel you intended to save. A profile link is not a specific video and is not supported.
Find a completed download
On a phone, check Safari or Chrome Downloads and the Files app if the video is not in Photos or Gallery. On a computer, check the browser’s download list or configured folder. The location depends on device and browser settings.
When a Reel is unavailable
The Reel must be public and accessible to the service. Removed, private, region-restricted or temporarily limited posts may not load. If an earlier file link expires, load the public Reel again; this does not bypass restrictions.
Music and permission
Public visibility does not give permission to republish the clip or its music. Check the creator’s rights, any applicable music licence, platform terms and local copyright rules before reuse.

Why is there no audio-only button?
A compatible separate audio stream was not returned. The MP4 may still have its own audio track.
Is Save cover the full Reel?
No. It saves a still image associated with the video, not the video itself.
Can a private Reel be retrieved?
No. Laqta does not ask for credentials or bypass private content.
